Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir flour and baking powder together. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Stir in eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Add the flour and baking powder in and kneed the dough. 
  3. The dough doesn't really stick well together and it breaks apart easily. DO NOT CHILL THE DOUGH!
  4. Roll the dough out into 1/4 inch thick. Using cookie cutters, cut them into shapes. Place the cookies on the baking sheet and freeze them for 5-7 minutes. Then bake for 10-12 minutes. Let it cool off before decorating.

This sugar cookies recipe is so easy to make. It is soft and keeps its shape after baking. It’s perfect for decorating too!

My daughter loves to help me bake. I enjoy baking with her. It’s mother daughter bonding time. She helped me picked the cookie cutter shapes. After I rolled out the dough, she helped me cut it. Making sugar cookies is similar to play-doh so she likes it and had fun helping.

Ingredients:
  • 3 Cups of flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Sticks of butter
  • 1 Cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp Almond extract
Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. In a pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the lasagna noodles, salt, and olive oil as instructed on the box. The olive oil will help the noodles from sticking to each other. When the noodles are cook, drain them.
  3. Diced the onion, minced the garlic and parsley
  4. In another pot, cook the Italian sausage. When it is cooked add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain.
  5. Stir in the diced tomatoes, diced onions, tomato paste, 1/2 of the parsley, basil, salt, black pepper.
  6. In a medium bowl, beat the egg. Then add ricotta cheese and the rest of the parsley. Fold them together.
  7. Add cheese to the bottom of a non grease pan then put 3 lasagna noodles on top.
  8. Add the meat sauce. Topped with cheese and parmesan cheese.
  9. Add another layer of lasagna noodles. Spread the ricotta cheese on top.
  10. Add the last layer of lasagna noodles and the rest of the meat sauce.
  11. Topped with more cheese and parmesan cheese.
  12. Put it in the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
  13. Let it cool for 10-15 minutes and enjoy!

Ingredients:
  • 1.5 lb Ground Italian Sausage
  • 9 Lasagna noodles
  • 1 Small onion, diced
  • 3 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 6 oz Tomato paste
  • 1 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 1 tbsp Basil, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 4 cups cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
