  1. We celebrate every year with my in laws for Christmas eve. Christmas day we wake up and let the kids open their presents and usually cook a nice meal.

  2. My sister and her family spend the night Christmas Eve so we wake up and spend Christmas morning together. Then we go to, or host, an extended family Christmas. Thank you for the chance to win!

  3. We don’t really have any traditions other than that we use cornbread stuffing, which is apparently a point of contention among some people.

  4. My favorite tradition during the holiday is cutting down a tree as a family. I’m sad that my daughter may not be home while my husband is off to cut it down this year!

My family’s Christmas holiday traditions are Gingerbread Candy House decorating, decorating the Christmas Tree while drinking Hot Cocoa and listening to Christmas music, getting all together right before Christmas to watch National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and playing Bad Santa on Christmas Eve.

  7. I’ll visit with my family and friends some this season and try to gift out as much as I can. Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays.

  8. Lights go up but NOT ON until Thanksgiving night….and we always go for a drive in the local and surrounding communities to see all the pretty lights!

  9. We always read the bible on Christmas Eve and everyone gets to open 1 small present. My mom spends the month of December with us too.

  10. We wrap a book for every day of December leading up to Christmas to open each night and read before bed. We also decorate the tree as a family and we drive around and look at all the nice lit up houses.

  11. We always celebrate Christmas at my Mom’s on Christmas Eve with a nice dinner. Christmas morning I make a large breakfast for my family and we spend the day together.

  12. One of our traditions is to have a family Christmas morning breakfast before leaving the house to spend the day with relatives.

  13. One of my favorite Christmas tradition is going to the local tree farm and picking out our Christmas tree. It’s so neat, they have free sleigh/wagon rides and hot chocolate. Really put us in the Christmas spirit of spending quality time with family.

  14. Everyone opens up 1 gift early on Christmas Eve then we have brunch on Christmas morning around 10-11 and we all open our gifts

  15. Every year, the Sunday before Christmas, the women in the family get together to make a lot of Christmas cookies and candies. Thanks.

  16. We have fun decorating the tree together, stringing lights around, hanging ornaments, and putting Holiday decorations around the living room.

  17. We bake cinn. rolls from scratch for christmas morning. ( my kids help me make them the night before and refrigerate over night so in the morning while they open presents we bake them up fresh and warm)

  18. We hide a pickle on the Christmas tree… It’s a German tradition that the child who finds the pickle on Christmas morning gets to open the first gift or gets a special gift.

  19. My favorite holiday tradition is loading the kids up in the car, putting on Christmas music and heading out to view the Christmas lights.

  20. Baked Blueberry French Toast for breakfast, then opening stockings in front of the fireplace before the gift opening by the tree.

  21. We get together and exchange presents and eat a lot of delicious food. I also have certain decorations that specific kids put up for me.

  22. We have a lot of Christmas family traditions. We have the elf on the shelf that visits every year. We take a trip to a local light show and enjoy time together there. On Christmas day we always eat with my extended family and spend the day playing games and hanging out.

  23. We always open one present before breakfast on Christmas morning, then eat waffles, then open the rest. I can’t wait for Christmas this year!

  24. my favorite tradition is that each year, the weekend before Christmas we have a stay home in our pjs in the den and watch Christmas movies all day and play games and have family time.

  26. We go to my grandma’s on Christmas Eve and exchange gifts with the family. Then on Vhristmas Day Santa comes, and we go to my in laws to exchange gifts with them.

  27. We usually eat tamales at midnight and stay up most of the night-followed by a dinner of toutiere pie and turkey or ham with all the fixings…

  28. We have a lot of traditions. Christmas Eve at Nana’s house. Christmas morning at home, then afternoon at Grammy’s house. A roadtrip to see Christmas lights with one of my husband’s Aunts. Santa pictures. Lots and lots.

  30. We observe the full Christmas season from the first Sunday of Advent through to the 12 day of Christmas (January 6) including St. Nicholas Day (December 6).

  31. We put up a ridiculous amount of Christmas lights, gather for a meal and open presents on Christmas Eve. Then we go to my aunt’s for Christmas Day dinner.

  32. OUrs actually starts the week before Christmas opening Christmas with my family. Then the night of go to my moms side Christmas morning we open at home and go to my dads for Christmas lunch !!

  33. We hold a party on Christmas Eve. Just really a get together. My daughter and her friends play games and we watch movies.

  34. On Christmas eve we invite over some friends and have dinner together. Then everyone leaves and the family opens up their new Christmas pjs and we take a picture in front of the tree!
