Cereal Box Mail Holder

Just taking a break from baking to write about the cereal box mail holder I made last night. I’m not a super crafty person so mine doesn’t look professionally made. I had fun making these though.

You’ll need:
  • 2 cereal box
  • Tacky glue and hot glue
  • Scissor or box cutter
  • Ruler
  • Pen or Maker
  • Scrapbook papers (Got mine from Walmart. You can buy it in store or online here)

First, measure the height you want your mail box holder. Mark the lines on the boxes. You can do a straight or slanted line on the side of the boxes. I decided to do a slant line.

Cut the boxes. Check to see if the boxes line up. It’s easier if the boxes are the same size too. Hot glue the boxes together.

Measure and cut the scrap papers to fit on the box and glue it on using the tacky glue. Using hot glue will make it have some bumps. I would prefer using hot glue, but not for this kind of craft.

I made 2 mail holders:

With the bigger boxes (Capt’n Crunch & Rice Krispies), I used 5 scrap papers. There were only 2 designs of each so I had to use another different design for the inside. Looks kind of weird, but it’s not like anyone is going to look inside.

With the smaller boxes (both Cheerios), I used 4 scrap papers. It looks nice. Made a few mistakes, but that’s okay.

I know these do not look perfect, but at least it looks good and works for its purposes. You can put these on the counter, desk, or pin it to the wall.

Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoy and get inspire to make your own. =)

I used to eat chili cans all the time until I invested in a slow cooker. Making chili is super easy and it taste better homemade. You’ll love this easy crock pot chili recipe!

I used to add water in my chili, but it made the chili too watery. With tomato sauce and diced tomatoes, it helps create some liquid in the chili. The liquid is thick and not watery. If you want your chili spicy, you can add more chili powder. I always add more in mine.

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

Pizza Bombs

Pizza Bomb

Pizza bombs are easy and simple to make. Super cheesy and delicious! My daughter loves pizza and these pizza bombs are the perfect size for her. She loves anything that looks like a ball and even helps me make it.

I make my own pizza dough. I’ve used this recipe for a while and it turns out perfect every time. I’ll be showing you how to make the dough. You can use a bread maker to make the dough too. Put it on dough mode and add all the ingredients in. When it’s in dough form, put it in a bowl and let it sit for an hour.

Dough:
  • 1 Pack Dry Active Yeast
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 3 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable or Canola Oil
  • 1 tsp salt

In a small bowl stir the yeast in the water and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. In a big bowl add flour, honey, oil, and salt.

Stir in the yeast mixture until it starts to form a dough. Then knead the dough until it is soft and elastic.

Cover the dough with plastic wrap for an hour.

dough after an hour

After an hour, your dough should double in size like the photo above.

Fillings:
  • 1 can Pizza Sauce
  • Pepperoni
  • Cheese
  • Olives

You can add whatever you like in there. My daughter loves olives for some reason so I added those in. Haha

Spray a pan with pam and preheat the oven to 350.

dough balls

Split the dough into 16 balls. I only made 15 since there wasn’t room for the other ball.

pizza fillings

Roll out the dough and put the fillings on: sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and olives.

pizza bombs

Put the balls in the pan after rolling each one of them.

Topping:
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder

In a small bowl, melt the butter and stir in garlic powder.

pizza bombs

Brush it on top of the balls and bake it for 30 minutes.

Fall Off the Bone Slow Cooker Ribs

Fall off the bone slow cooker ribs are so tender, moist, and delicious! The meat does really fall off the bone. It is perfect for winter days if you want to eat ribs and can’t grill outside and another option from broiling in the oven. My husband says these are the best ribs he’d ever eaten.

I was kind of worried that I won’t be able to eat ribs once I get braces, but now I definitely can. Whenever I grill or broil the ribs, I usually end up eating the meat that is stuck on the bone. Slow cooker helps the meat fall off the bone easily, which makes it easier for me to eat. My daughter loves eating the ribs too. She ate almost as much as me.

Ingredients:

  • Ribs
  • Rib rub
  • BBQ sauce (of your choice)

Instructions:

  5. Rub the rib with rib rub and put it on the pan.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes.
